Office Policies

We try to accommodate your appointments that best suit your busy schedule but also try to stay on schedule to minimize waiting for your appointments. Delays to the schedule can occur for a variety of reasons and understanding and patience are very much appreciated.

At our first appointment or what we refer to as an orthodontic consultation (initial exam) you will be provided with a general evaluation of your orthodontic needs and an estimated treatment plan and an estimated treatment fee.

The next appointment to follow would be orthodontic (diagnostic records). A thorough and accurate diagnosis is the key to success in orthodontics. An accurate diagnosis depends on the use of high quality, pretreatment records. These records include medical-dental. history, clinical examinations, study models of the teeth, special x-rays and a complete treatment plan. The fee for this is the range of $385.00 to $400.00. Arrangements for this can be made.

Finally, at the case presentation appointment you will be provided with a detailed description of your orthodontic problem. As well as option(s), treatment sequencing, appliance (braces, retainers etc.) The payment method will also be discussed. It is essential that all concerned parties attend this presentation. There is no fee for this appointment.

Successive Visits

Periodic visits are an important part of orthodontic treatment. Generally, we will be seeing you every 4 to 6 weeks to check your progress and make adjustments to your braces. During this time, you will need to keep all of your appointments, follow instructions, eat nutritiously and practice good oral hygiene. While you are receiving orthodontic treatment, it is imperative that you keep your regular scheduled appointment with your family dentist for checkups and cleanings.

Once your braces are removed, retainers are placed to hold your teeth in their positions until your bone, gums and muscles adapt to the new teeth positions. The retention appliances are a very important part of your overall treatment and should not be compromised.
